Consideration and possible action on approving proposals, in the approximate amount of $275,000, from Precision Pump Systems and BPR, to perform emergency repairs and pump replacement at the on-site lift station at the wastewater treatment plant. Aforementioned procurement is deemed an emergency, and is exempt from lawful competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 252.022 (1) a procurement is made because of a public calamity that requires the immediate appropriation of money to relieve the necessity of the municipality’s residents or to preserve the property of the municipality; (2) a procurement necessary to preserve or protect the public safety of the municipality’s residents; and (3) a procurement necessary because of unforeseen damage to public machinery, equipment, or other personal property 7. Consideration and possible action on approving the payment for emergency repairs and pump replacement at the on-site lift station at the wastewater treatment plant, in the approximate amount of $275,000, from the 2019 Certificates of Obligation 8. Consideration and possible action on authorizing city staff to advertise for bids for a one-year’s supply of chlorine, sulfur dioxide, and HTH for the water/wastewater department 9. Consideration and possible action on approving Mayor Soto opening bids for the installation of an 8- foot concrete wet well for the sanitary sewer lift station located at Avenue I and Allen Genoa 10. Consideration and possible action on authorizing city staff to apply for a grant from the CDBG – Local Hazard Mitigation Plan to develop a new Hazard Mitigation Plan 11. Consideration and possible action on authorizing city staff to seek Request for Qualifications and obtain pricing for a Hazard Mitigation Plan 12. Consideration and possible action on approving R. W. Patrick & Associates to oversee the development of a Hazard Mitigation Plan 13. Consideration and possible action on the minutes of the regular council meeting held on July 27, 2021 14.
