Approval of minutes from the April 5, 2023 Common Council Meeting. b.) Approval of Mayor’s appointments to various Boards & Commissions. c.) Accept Police Clerk Kyra Van Scyoc’s letter of resignation with an effective date of April 30, 2023. d.) Approval of Amusement Device Operator license for the license year of 2022-2023 filed by Keith Randolph. PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL – D. Bartoshevich 1.) Motion to adopt the items in the consent agenda. 2.) Discussion/possible motion on the terms for standing committees conducted on the third Tuesday of April following the regular aldermanic elections. 3.) Reminder that the SM Little League parade and opening day ceremonies will be held on May 6th, 2023. The staging will be at the intersection of 9th Avenue and Madison Avenue starting at 9:30 am. and the parade will start at 10:00 am. Parade route will be down 9th Avenue south to Drexel Avenue then east on Drexel Ave- nue to south entry into the SMLL Park at 7th Avenue and Drexel Avenue. Please let me know if the Alderper- sons will be there. Reports of Standing Committees FINANCE – D. Bartoshevich HUMAN RESOURCES – R. Navarro LEGISLATION & PERMITS COMMITTEE – L. Pieper PUBLIC WORKS & PUBLIC PROPERTY – T. Backes 4.) Discussion/possible motion to award the bridge reconstruction project. PLAN COMMISSION – B. Briesemeister Council Agenda – April 18, 2023 1 REPORTS OF THE MAYOR 5.) Discussion/possible motion regarding a resolution opposing the replacement of I-794 with surface street ramps. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS – CITY CLERK 6.) Spring Election update. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS – WATER/WASTEWATER SUPERINTENDENT 7.) Update regarding the lead service line inventory and bipartisan infrastructure law funding. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS – CITY ADMINISTRATOR 8.) Discussion/possible motion regarding the purchase of building inspection and community development software from BS&A. 9.) Motion to go into closed session pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85 (1)(c) and (e) for the purpose of discussing labor negotiations with the South Milwaukee Professional Police Association and South Milwaukee Firefighters Protective Association. 10.) Motion to return to open session and take any necessary action on closed session items. 11.) Discussion/possible motion regarding a side letter with the South Milwaukee Professional Police Associa- tion regarding the canine handler position. 12.) Discussion/possible motion regarding 2023-2025 labor agreements with the South Milwaukee Profes- sional Police Association and the South Milwaukee Firefighters Protective Association. 13.) Discussion/possible motion on an ordinance to amend Ordinances No. 2228 and No. 2236 to fix and es- tablish the amount of salaries, wages and certain benefits and allowances which shall be paid by the City of South Milwaukee to its union employees.
