SOUTH ST. PAUL CITY COUNCIL MINUTES OF JUNE 1, 2015 The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Beth Baumann at 7:15 P.M. on Monday, June 1, 2015. City Council meeting minutes of May 18, 2015 2. Resolution No. 2015-84, approving accounts payable 3. Resolution No. 2015-79, approving land lease at the South St. Paul Airport with William & Julie Steier 4. Resolution No. 2015-78, approving termination of land lease between the City of South St. Paul and David L. Retka 5. Business licenses City Council Minutes of June 1, 2015 1  6. Resolution No. 2015-81, approving assignment of lease at South St. Paul Airport to the trust agreement of Donald and Susan McDonald 7. Resolution No. 2015-82, approving assignment of lease at South St. Paul Airport to the trust agreement of Donald and Susan McDonald 8. Authorize purchase of a 2015 Ford Police Interceptor SUV at a cost of $27,980.95 from Government Contract #37669 to replace a squad car damaged in a motor vehicle accident 9. Accept quote for the alley catch basis repairs in various locations from Danner, Inc. in the amount of $90,856.20 Motion carried 4 ayes/0 nays 9a) Call for Public Hearing on Liquor Violation at Super Mercado La Merced Moved by Rothecker/Niederkorn MOVED: To call for a public hearing to be held on Monday, June 15, 2015, to consider the imposition of a sanction for a liquor violation which occurred at Super Mercado La Merced located at 1533 5th Avenue South. Motion carried 4 ayes/0 nays 10a) Ordinance Amending City Code – Intoxicating Liquor Licenses Councilmember Flatley introduced the following proposed ordinance for its first reading: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 OF THE CITY CODE RELATED TO INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSES 10b) Deleted 10c) Rental Agreement with Minnesota Men’s Roller Derby LLC Moved by Flatley/Niederkorn MOVED: To approve the rental agreement with Minnesota Men’s Roller Derby to rent Wakota Civic Arena (Rink 1) to host a roller derby tournament on June 27 and 28, 2015. Motion carried 4 ayes/0 nays City Council Minutes of June 1, 2015 2 10d) Temporary On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor Permit by Croatian Hall Moved by Niederkorn/Flatley MOVED: To approve the request for a Temporary On-Sale Liquor Permit to Croatian Hall on June 27 and June 28, 2015, at Wakota Arena for the hours of 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Motion carried 4 ayes/0 nays 10e) Final Change Orders – Levee Improvements Moved by Niederkorn/Flatley MOVED: To approve Change Order No. 4 & No. 5 and final compensating change order to the levee improvement contract with Meyer Contracting, Inc. in a net decrease in the contract of $33,367.42.
