Spearfish City Council Special Session Minutes March 14, 2024 3:00 p.m. The Spearfish City Council met at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2024. Mayor Senden was present and called the meeting to order. Roll call was taken with the following members present: Clark, Hodgs, Klarenbeek, and Rath. Absent: Hourigan and Jacobs. Also present: Interim Parks and Recreation Director Rauterkus, Library Director Wilde, Finance Officer DeNeui, Human Resources Director Mathis, Public Safety Director Rotert, Public Works Director McMahon, and City Engineer Mathis. All stood and recited the pledge of allegiance. Hodgs moved, Rath seconded, and all voted to approve the agenda. No potential conflicts of interest were noted. Executive Session – Rath moved, Hodgs seconded, and all voted to enter executive session at 3:01 p.m. pursuant to SDCL 1-25-2(3) for the purpose of discussing the qualifications, competence, performance, character of fitness of any public officer or employee or prospective public officer or employee. The council returned to regular session at 4:18 p.m. There being no further business, Rath moved, Hodgs seconded, and all voted to adjourn at 4:19 p.m. Dated this 14th Day of March, 2024.
