ITEMS FROM VISITORS (Policy Note: Visitors are limited to 5 minutes of presentation followed by questions) - Al Block; comments about Recreation Facility & Staff o Block was not present. OLD BUSINESS Board Items Director Updates Grazing lease – - Discussion points were lease term length, an additional water source, cost of weed management if grazing lease was discontinued. Signage and interaction between cows, hikers, bikers, and/or dogs were also discussed. - It was mutually agreed upon to table until January meeting; giving sufficient time to gather cost of weed management without grazing and putting in secondary water access. - Davis suggested to take a year off and work on signing mountain better Bridge/pathway update- - Currently on hold until new flood plain study is released. - Planning session in January to prioritize items. Expedition League update- - A lot of interest, League is putting in portable party decks and bleachers. There will be around 32 home games; league is responsible for ground prep. Park & Forestry Rec & Aquatic Center NEW BUSINESS Board Items Briefing on 2018 projects and budget - Capital Equipment budgeted - Rec Center upgrading/replacing pool heaters - Rec Center security system upgrades Next Meeting – January 18, 2018 7:00 am Council Chambers  CITY OF SPEARFISH 625 Fifth Street, Spearfish S.D. 57783 Telephone: (605) 642-1333 Shade attachments at Salem Park - Wants to put sail style shade attachments up. Kenadi Jean Weis Foundation interested in helping fund project. Update on trail master plan- - Mader would like board members to contact him about forming sub- committees. Director Updates Opening on the board (Chris McCart and Barb Cline off) – - Make suggestions to Mayor Boke about who should fill open spots. - Change meeting dates and times? – - Table to January meeting – for new members input Sub Committees for Master Planning – Meet with Mader for further direction Role of the board?- - Decide on more goals in Jan/Feb Park & Forestry Rec & Aquatic Center CONSENT AGENDA / FYI ITEMS Rec Center Closed Dec 24 ,25, 31 & Jan 1st Skate night Jan 5th Waterpark pass sale now – May 1st Meeting adjourned at 8:27am – Motion by Jess Second by Cline Motion carries Next Meeting – January 18, 2018 7:00 am Council Chambers
