Spearfish Planning Commission Regular Meeting Minutes Tuesday, March 19, 2019 The Spearfish Planning Commission met in regular session on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 3:00 pm in the council chambers at Spearfish City Hall. Members present: Meghan Byrum, Greg Kruskamp, Bob Meyer, Drew Skjoldal, Larry Vavruska and Barbara Zwetzig. Members absent: Toby Bordewyk. Also present: Assistant City Planner Desirae Mayo and City Attorney Ashley McDonald. Chairman Kruskamp called the meeting to order at 3:00 pm. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Motion was made by Skjoldal to approve the minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of Tuesday, March 19, 2019 as presented. The motion was seconded by Vavruska and upon vote taken thereon passed unanimously. DECLARATIONS OF CONFLICTS OF INTEREST: Kruskamp called for any potential conflicts of interest to be identified. None were declared at this time. 1. Request: Provide staff with input regarding camper/RV parking issues. [PROJECT ID: ORD19-001] Location: Residential zoning districts. Applicant: City of Spearfish Assistant City Planner Desirae Mayo referred the commission to a memorandum dated March 19, 2019 which outlines revised proposed regulations pertaining to parking of various recreational vehicles (RV’s) in residential zoning districts. Testimony was heard from Bill McFarling, resident of 223 Union Street. Fire Code Official Scott Deaver spoke from a public safety and fire code perspective. No action was taken. CITY COUNCIL UPDATE: Mayo reported on various matters coming before the city council last night. PUBLIC COMMENT: Public comment section opened at approximately 3:24 pm. No comments were heard and this section closed at 3:24 pm. GROUP PHOTO: The group photo will be taken at a later date. ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the commission, Kruskamp adjourned the meeting at 3:25 pm.
