THE FOLLOWING MINUTES ARE SUBJECT TO MODIFICATION AND ARE NOT OFFICIAL MINUTES UNTIL APPROVED BY THE SPRING HILL GREEN BOARD Spring Hill Green Board Regular Meeting Minutes September 21, 2015 CALL TO ORDER Doug D’Albini called the meeting to order at 7:08 pm ROLL CALL Present: Doug D’Albini Laila Reis Mark Squire Stephen Bayer Absent: Staff Present: Beau Ford, Parks Superintendent Dora Davison, Green Board Secretary Meeting Attendees: Jason Goins, Spring Hill Recreation Commission APPROVAL OF AGENDA Motion by Laila Reis, seconded by Stephen Bayer to approve the agenda. Motion carried. FORMAL BOARD ITEMS 1. Approval of Minutes: August 17, 2015 Motion by Mark Squire, seconded by Laila Reis to approve the Minutes. Motion carried. 2. 2015 Green Board Group picture will be taken October 19, 2015. 3. Recycling – Update about Ripple Glass or AGC – No update at this time. 4. Community Gardening a. Beau Ford will research model ordinances and bring a suggested version to the next meeting. b. Locations to be recommended will be determined at the October 19th meeting. c. Topics of discussion will include: possible water sources, raised bed gardening informational meetings, Wick or food pantry vs. personal consumption, sponsorship opportunities and fee schedule. 5. Fall Festival – September 18, 2015 a. The Shred-It truck was a success. Hometown Holidays – December 5, 2015 a. The Board agreed to provide and serve beverages for the event. 7. Parks Department Update a. City Lake Update – There is a property issue that is being addressed to allow access to City Lake. b. Woodland Ridge upper pond issues have been discussed with an engineer. Beau will meet with the City’s Engineer to discuss the findings and seek current price estimates for possible solutions.
