OTHER BUSINESS
Brad Teasdale addressed the Board with a request for beautification through landscaping along the
outer edge of the Cemetery property at the 800 block of W Lawrence. Mr. Teasdale and Laila Reis will
be contacting the Cemetery Board to address this concern.
Mr. Teasdale recommended the City promote the Gift Fund as a way for citizens to assist with projects
as every contribution can make a difference.
A citizen requested an update on the progress of Melvin Murray Park. Mr. Ford has contacted
engineers and have a preliminary plan in place of a French drain system as well as raising the bank.
The Melvin Murray project will be incorporated into the Parks Master Plan as a high priority item. The
current algae and moss will be treated weather permitting, it is not cost effective to treat water when
rain in expected as it dilutes the product rendering it ineffective.
Mark Squire would like the Green Board to develop a more focused initiative. Mr. Squire would like
the development of a bi-annual or 5 year plan be added to the next agenda for discussion.
ADJOURN
Motion by Mark Squire, seconded by Laila Reis to adjourn.
