THE FOLLOWING MINUTES ARE SUBJECT TO MODIFICATION AND ARE NOT OFFICIAL MINUTES UNTIL APPROVED BY THE SPRING HILL PARKS ADVISORY BOARD Spring Hill Parks Advisory Board Meeting Minutes April 16, 2018 CALL TO ORDER Doug D’Albini called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE ROLL CALL Present: Doug D’Albini Laila Reis Mark Squire George Eshnaur Tommy Holland Absent: Staff Present: Brian Cook, Parks Maintenance Worker II APPROVAL OF AGENDA Motion by Laila Reis, seconded by George Eshnaur to approve the agenda. Motion carried. FORMAL BOARD ITEMS 1. Approval of Minutes: February 19, 2018 Motion by Laila Reis, seconded by George Eshnaur to approve minutes. Motion carried. DISCUSSION  Members were asked to attend the Daffodil Days Event if possible. STAFF REPORTS  Veteran’s Park will be surveyed, and grade staked this week. The dog park design is still being developed. ANNOUNCEMENTS & REPORTS  Laila Reis announced her resignation from the Board. Laila is moving out of state. The board thanked her for her service and wished her well in her move. OTHER BUSINESS  Mark Squire contacted Bass Pro in regard to providing bait and giveaway items for the Annual Fishing Derby. Bass Pro would like to be contacted closer to the event but would be happy to supply some bait and other items.  The issue of curbside recycling that continues to be blown through the neighborhoods was discussed. George recommended board members reach out to area groups that might be interested in regular clean up efforts. Mark Squire also suggested that local groups may consider fundraising efforts with Waste Management in the selling of higher capacity recycle bins. Mr. Squire also encouraged the board to begin thinking about how to impact recycling at events such as Fall Festival. ADJOURN Motion by Laila Reis, seconded by George Eshnaur to adjourn.
