FORMAL BOARD ITEMS 1. Approval of Minutes: April 16, 2018 Motion by George Eshnaur, seconded by Mark Squire to approve minutes. Motion carried. DISCUSSION o Fishing Derby – Mr. Squire will be picking up donations from Bass Pro and will deliver to the event. o Daffodil Days Event was successful and well attended. Helping the Spring Hill Recreation Commission with the tricycles was a fun change of pace. The music being close to the booth did make it difficult to engage in discussion with participants. o Dog park design – The design was well received. Mr. Squire would like to see a gate near the water side of the park. It has been suggested to name the Dog Park after Melvin Murry and introduce fire themed items to honor his memory. Mrs. Murry was in attendance to express the Murry family’s support. The Parks Advisory Board agrees it would be a more prominent area to showcase Mr. Murry’s contributions to the City. o Fall Festival – The Board discussed providing daffodil bulbs as a giveaway to residents. Focusing conversation on recycling and possibly having a raffle that may include a Grass Pad gift certificates, redbud trees and check with H & R Landscaping if there are any services or landscape design they would be willing to contribute. It would be great if we had enough drawing items to do 1 per hour of the event.
