THE FOLLOWING MINUTES ARE SUBJECT TO MODIFICATION AND ARE NOT OFFICIAL MINUTES UNTIL APPROVED BY THE SPRING HILL PARKS ADVISORY BOARD Spring Hill Parks Advisory Board August 21, 2023 CALL TO ORDER Chair called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. Board Members in Attendance: Caitlin Downey Katie Sparks Jamie Pflumm Alyssa O’Connor Board Members Absent: Karen Lingenfelter Staff in Attendance: Shawn Huffman, Public Works Supervisor Brian Cook, Maintenance Worker 3/Arborist PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. ROLL CALL The Chair called the roll of the Parks Advisory Board. With a quorum present, the meeting commenced. APPROVAL OF AGENDA - -Agenda amended to move approval of May and June meeting minutes to September meeting. Motion by Caitlin Downey, seconded by Katie Sparks, to approve the agenda. Motion carried. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION None FORMAL BOARD ITEMS Approval of Minutes: 5/15/23 and 6/12/23 Approval of minutes moved to September meeting. DISCUSSION • Fall Festival will be September 30, 2023. The Board will give away approximately 15 trees and 15 potted mums as usual, as well as Blow-Pops. Duck Pond game will be utilized for giveaway. Board members will be present in shifts. No more than two Board members will be present at any given time. Dedication of Memorial will be Veterans Day, November 11, 2023. Battle crosses have shipped; all other components have been installed. ADJOURN Motion by Caitlin Downey, seconded by Alyssa O’Connor, to adjourn. Motion carried.
