BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AGENDA JULY 11, 2016 BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT: Dr. James Hood, Chair Edmund Johnson, Vice-Chair Nancy Corbin, Secretary Don Garrison, Jr. Marita Malone Brian Andrzejewski, Alternate Maureen Bouxsein, Alternate Richard Alferman, Alternate The St. Charles Board of Adjustment will meet on Monday, July 11, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. on the fourth floor of City Hall in the City Council Chambers to consider the following matters: Call to Order and Call the Roll 1. Case No. BOA-2016-10. Address: 205 South Duchesne Drive (Nate Droste - Droste Construction). Request to decrease the minimum rear yard setback for a single-family residence from 25 ft. to 10 ft. as required in §400.150(E)(5)(c) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. The zoning for the subject property is R-1E Single-Family Residential District (Ward 10). 2. Case No. BOA-2016-14. Address 614 Lewis Street (Steven J. Lydia L. Thomas). Request to approve the issuance of a nonconforming use permit for the storage of commercial materials and equipment on the subject property. A public hearing before the Board of Adjustment is required to consider the issuance of this nonconforming use permit per Section 400.790(B) because a protest signed by neighboring property owners was received. The zoning for the subject property is R-1E Single Family Residential District (Ward 1). 3. Case No. BOA-2016-15. Address: 573 Glenco Drive (Ruth Kimbrough). Request to decrease the minimum side yard setback specifically for a car port from 7 feet to 6.29 feet as required in §400.150(E)(5)(b) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. The zoning for the Board of Adjustment Agenda 1  subject property is R-1E Single-Family Residential District (Ward 9). THE APPLICATION HAS WITHDRAWN. 4. Case No. BOA-2016-16. Address: 604 S. Main Street (Austin & Ali Warren). Request to increase the maximum square footage of signage for a building from the permitted 16 square feet to 32 square feet as required in §400.1830(A)(2)(a) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. The zoning for the subject property is HCD Historic Commercial District also within the SMPD South Main Preservation District (Ward 2). THE APPLICANT HAS WITHDRAWN THIS APPLICATION.
