Case No. BOA-2017-40. Address: 1029 Jefferson Street. (Ronald Odenthal and Lisa Ritz) Request to reduce the required side yard setback for an accessory structure (garage and pergola) from five (5) feet to two and one half (2.5) feet as regulated in §400.530(A)(3) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. The property is zoned R-1E Single Family Residential District and within the EHP Extended Historic Preservation District (Ward 1). 2. Case No. BOA-2017-41. Address: 2144 First Capitol Drive. (Excel Signs & Design, LLC – Kara Neubauer) Request to increase the maximum business sign area from seventy six and one half (76.5) square feet to three hundred and seven (307) square feet as regulated in §400.1720(A)(1) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. (Jason Orf) 2 Requests. 1 st - Request to increase the maximum height for an accessory structure (garage) from fourteen (14) feet to sixteen (16) feet as regulated in §400.530(A)(6) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. 2nd - Request to increase the maximum area for an accessory structure (garage) from fifty (50) percent (544 sq. ft.) to sixty two (62) percent (672 sq. ft.) as regulated in §400.530(A)(7) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. The property is zoned R-1E Single Family Residential District within the EHP Extended Historic Preservation District overlay (Ward 7). 4. Administrative Item. Election of Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary for 2018.
