BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AGENDA August 13, 2018 BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT: Edmund Johnson, Chair Don Garrison, Jr., Vice-Chair Nancy Corbin, Secretary Marita Malone Maureen Rogers-Bouxsein Brian Andrzejewski, Alternate Richard Alferman, Alternate In accordance with Chapter 400 (Zoning Code) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of St. Charles, Missouri, notice is hereby given that the Board of Adjustment will conduct a public hearing on Monday, August 13, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. on the fourth floor of City Hall in the City Council Chambers, 200 North Second Street in St. Charles, Missouri for the purpose of giving interested parties and citizens an opportunity to be heard on the following matters: Call to Order and Call the Roll 1. Case No. BOA-2017-3. Address: 130 Gamble Street (Lindenwood University). On February 6, 2017, the Board of Adjustment denied an application for re-issuance of a non-conforming use permit for the continuation of apartments and dormitory uses on the subject property. That decision was reviewed by the Circuit Court of St. Charles County in case number 1711-CC00255. The Court entered a Judgment reversing the denial of the re- issuance of the non-conforming use permit. Pursuant to the Judgement “the February 2, 2017 decision by the Board [is] reversed and that the matter [is] remanded for a hearing before the Board in which the relevant time of inquiry be limited to 1991 through February 2, 2017.” In compliance with the Judgment, a re-hearing will be conducted in which the relevant time of inquiry is limited to 1991 through February 2, 2017. The zoning for the subject property is R-1E Single Family Residential District within the Extended Historic Preservation District. (Ward 9). Board of Adjustment Agenda 1 2. Case No. BOA-2018-21. Address: 2300 First Capitol Drive. (Stone’s Signs) Request to increase the maximum business sign area from one hundred and fifty (150) square feet to two hundred and eighty six (286) square feet as regulated in §400.1720(A)(1) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. The property is zoned C-3 Highway Business District (Ward 2). 3. Case No. BOA-2018-23. Address: 300 Little Hills Industrial Boulevard. (Tony Lewis – Mason Sign Co.) Request to increase the maximum business sign area from one hundred and fifty (150) square feet to two hundred and eighty (280) square feet as regulated in §400.1720(A)(1) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. The property is zoned C-3 Highway Business District (Ward 1).
