The City Council convened in Regular Session on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in the
Council Chambers on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200 North Second Street, with President of
the Council Laurie Feldman, presiding, The Honorable Mayor Sally A. Faith and the Members
of the Council present as follows: Dave Beckering, Tom Besselman, Michael Klinghammer,
Bridget Ohmes, Mary Ann Ohms, Jerry Reese, Ron Stivison, and Mary West. Absent: Weller.
Assistant City Clerk Kimberly S. Hudson was present and performed the duties of that office.

The meeting was opened with the Invocation, those present standing in a moment of silence,
followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
A motion was made by BRIDGET OHMES to excuse the absence of Council Member Michael
Weller. MARY ANN OHMS seconded the motion. All voted in favor, motion passed.

Retirement Recognition of Mark Echele (Fire Department)
The Honorable Mayor Sally A. Faith presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Mark Echele for
his years of service with the Fire Department. Fire Chief Ernie Rhodes gave a biography of the
employment of Mark Echele.

this time of drought and announced upcoming city events.
ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM COUNCILMEMBERS/MISCELLANEOUS
Council Member Jerry Reese announced the upcoming Senior Fair to be held on August 7, 2012
at the St. Charles Convention Center from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Council Member Jerry Reese
asked citizens to please continue to conserve water during this time.
Council Vice-President Bridget Ohmes welcomed The Art Institute and Five Guys Burgers and
Fries to the Streets of St. Charles, and reminded everyone that the St. Charles County Municipal
League meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the St. Charles County Extension
Center on Brown Rd.
