RECORD OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT CHARLES, MISSOURI October 1, 2013 ______________________________________________________________________________ The City Council convened in Regular Session on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200 North Second Street, with President of the Council Dave Beckering, presiding, The Honorable Mayor Sally A. Faith reported a letter was received from City of St. Peters Mayor Len Pagano regarding the St. Peters and St. Charles recent boil order and conservation order. Crew from both cities worked together for over 40 consecutive hours making repairs to a major water main break on the line that carries water to the systems from the City of St. Louis. The Honorable Mayor Sally A. Faith reported Mr. & Mrs. Tom Kuypers’ home located in historic St. Charles has been placed on the State of Missouri’s Historic Preservation register. The Honorable Mayor Sally A. Faith announced upcoming events in the City of St. Charles. For more information on upcoming events, visit www.historicstcharles.com. The Honorable Mayor Sally A. Faith reported the documentary titled Memories on Main was held at City Hall on September 26th and 75-80 attended. New or gently used coats can be dropped off at the City Clerk’s office at this time and there will be boxes located throughout various city departments. Councilmember Jerry Reese announced the Prescription Drug Take Back Event is being held on Saturday, October 26, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Criminal Justice Center located at 1781 Zumbehl Road. Councilmember Reese also announced St. Peters City Hall is holding an open house on October 2, 2013, regarding I-70 Access Improvements. Councilmember Ron Stivison read a letter a commendation he wrote to Police Chief McKinley. The letter was in reference to Officer Tim Wandling and the detail he was assigned to on Main Street one particular evening and how Councilmember Stivison witnessed Officer Wandling and his controlling of the crowds on Main Street with professionalism.
