The City Council convened in a Regular City Council Meeting on Tuesday, September 20, 2016,
at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200 North Second Street,
with President of the Council Mary Ann Ohms, presiding, The Honorable Mayor Sally A. Faith
and the Members of the Council present as follows: Dave Beckering, Tom Besselman, Laurie
Feldman, John Hanneke, Rod Herrmann, Bridget Ohmes Jerry Reese, and Mary West. Absent:
Ron Stivison. City Clerk Laura L. Whitehead was present and performed the duties of that office.

The meeting was opened with the Invocation, those present standing in a moment of silence,
followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
A motion was made by JOHN HANNEKE to excuse the absence of Councilmember Ron
Stivison. DAVE BECKERING seconded the motion. All voted in favor, motion passed.
PUBLIC HEARING
The President of the Council Mary Ann Ohms announced that the following Public Hearing
would now be held. At the conclusion of the hearing, the Regular Session continued with the
order of business:

The Honorable Mayor Sally A. Faith announced budget amendment No. 10 is being introduced
this evening and should anyone have questions regarding the bill to please contact Director of
Finance Gina Jarvis.

The Honorable Mayor Sally A. Faith read an email received from a resident thanking the City for
the reconstruction of Fifth Street and First Capitol. The email stated the new road is beautiful
and safe…and she loves Saint Charles!
The Honorable Mayor Sally A. Faith announced the City of Saint Charles Police Department and
Royal Canin will be hosting the 2016 Missouri Police Canine Association Workshop from
September 18 – 24, 2016. A free Police Canine demonstration at Mueller Park will be held on
Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Faith also announced the following
upcoming events: Oktoberfest, Farmers Market, various events at the Family Arena and
Convention Center. For more information on these and other events, visit
