RECORD OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT CHARLES, MISSOURI February 20, 2018 ______________________________________________________________________________ The City Council convened in a Regular City Council Meeting on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200 North Second Street, with President of the Council John Hanneke, presiding, and the Honorable Mayor Sally A. Faith and Members of the Council present as follows: Dave Beckering, Tom Besselman, Rod Herrmann, Bridget Ohmes Mary Ann Ohms, Vince Ratchford, Jerry Reese and Mary West. Absent: Councilmember Bart Haberstroh. City Clerk Laura L. Whitehead was present and performed the duties of that office. File # 48782 The meeting was opened with the Invocation, those present standing in a moment of silence, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. PUBLIC HEARING There were no public hearings. REPORT OF THE MAYOR/AWARDS/PROCLAMATIONS/PRESENTATIONS Introduction of New Fire Fighter/Paramedics Dylan Rodewald and Sinjun Koppi Fire Chief Craig Dodson introduced Mr. Rodewald and Mr. Koppi. Written and/or Verbal Messages from the Mayor The Honorable Mayor Sally A. Faith announced several upcoming events happening in the City of Saint Charles. Faith reported Director of Economic Development David Leezer hosted the Independence Missouri Leadership Exchange recently. Mayor Faith requested Director Leezer schedule a trip for the Councilmembers to visit somewhere soon. PUBLIC COMMENT Sherilyn Blair, representing Historic Frenchtown Association, 1100 North Second Street, St. Charles, Mo., spoke in opposition to Council Bill 12453. Karl Leiber, 9 Wickford Court, voiced concerns relative to Council Bill 12453. Jeff Besselman, 903 N. Third Street, thanked the Councilmembers for taking time talking and visiting with him on Second Street last week in reference to Council Bill 12453. Maureen Rogers-Bouxsein, 1409 N.
