RECORD OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT CHARLES, MISSOURI February 5, 2019 ______________________________________________________________________________ The City Council convened in a Regular City Council Meeting on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200 North Second Street, with President of the Council John Hanneke, presiding, and the Honorable Mayor Sally A. Absent: Dave Beckering and Jerry Reese. City Clerk Laura Whitehead was present and performed the duties of that office. Presentation of Medals to Police Officers and Staff Members for Work on the Quadruple Homicide (Police Chief Randy McKinley) Police Chief Randy McKinley provided a brief description of the scene of the quadruple homicide on December 28, 2018. Chief McKinley further reported area agencies were requested for assistance. Responding to assist were Officers from the St. Charles County Police Department, St. Peters Police Department, St. Charles County Regional SWAT Team, Metro Air Unit and the Major Case Squad. Chief McKinley stated handling incidents of the magnitude described required courage, cooperation, and persistence.
