The applicant is requesting approval to replace the house’s windows and to install vinyl shakes on the dormers. The applicant is requesting approval to install a hanging sign from the balcony for her business, Baubles Bites & Boots. The applicant is requesting approval of a projecting sign for Literary Harry’s. [South Main Preservation District, Ward 2] 5. Structure Review Section 400.1180 Purpose The purpose of this subchapter is to protect, enhance, and perpetrate buildings, structures, districts, and sites of historical, cultural, architectural, engineering or geographic significance. Further, protection of cultural assets from demolition by neglect is an objective of this subchapter. Please note: Obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmarks Board does not authorize the applicant to build a structure. Building permits are required prior to construction. The applicant is requesting approval of revisions to a previously-approved project, including changes to the gallery and front doors. The applicant is requesting approval to replace a chain link fence with a combination ornamental steel and a black chain link fence.
