On Monday, November 16, 2015, at 6:00 p.m., the City of St. Charles Landmarks Board will
hold its regular monthly meeting in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor of City Hall,
200 North Second Street, St. Charles, Missouri. The agenda for this meeting is as follows:
Attention Applicants: It is necessary that you or a knowledgeable representative of your interests be
present at the meeting to answer any questions the Board may have concerning your application.
Failure to provide answers to the Board’s questions may result in your application being tabled or
denied.
1. Call to order and call the roll.
2. Consent Agenda
(A) Case No. C/A 2015-63(EC). 509 South Benton Avenue. Greg Loomans. The
applicant is requesting approval to install a 6-foot tall wood fence in the rear yard.

(B) Case No. 2015-65(EC). 610 South Second Street. Elena DeLaurenti. The applicant
is requesting approval to install a 4 ½-foot tall black aluminum fence in the rear

(C) Permit No. 15-5340. 49 Lawrence Street. Aaron Wagner. The applicant is
requesting approval of an aluminum wall sign for the Lamborghini Athletic

(D) Case No. 2015-36(SP). 508 South Eighth Street. Dennis and Renee Muckerman.
The applicants are requesting approval to replace the porch on the rear elevation
with a shed-roof addition. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 2]
(E) Case No. 2015-66(EC). 1116 North Second Street. Kirsten Laning. The applicant
is requesting approval to replace the bubble awning with a traditional shed awning.

(F) Permit No. 15-5631. 124 South Main Street. Beth Mohr. The applicant is
requesting approval to repaint the existing hanging sign since the name of the
business has been changed from Lillian’s to Abigail’s Closet. [Historic

(A) REVISION
Permit No. 14-4027. 1106 S. Main. Daryll Yahl. The applicant is requesting
approval of a revision to the previously approved monument sign at the Old Stone
Chapel. [Landmark Preservation District, Ward 2]
(B) Permit No. 15-5620. 1106 North Second Street. Lisa Latham. The applicant is
requesting after-the-fact approval of window and wall signs for her business,
Bookcase Basketcase. [Frenchtown Preservation District, Ward 1]
5. Structure Review
Section 400.1180 Purpose
The purpose of this subchapter is to protect, enhance, and perpetrate buildings,
structures, districts, and sites of historical, cultural, architectural, engineering or
geographic significance. Further, protection of cultural assets from demolition by
neglect is an objective of this subchapter.
Please note: Obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmarks Board
does not authorize the applicant to build a structure. Building permits are required
prior to construction.

Bearce. The applicants are requesting approval to renovate the rear gallery.

The submittal deadline for the December 14th meeting is November 23rd, 2015
