Structure Review Section 400.1180 Purpose The purpose of this subchapter is to protect, enhance, and perpetrate buildings, structures, districts, and sites of historical, cultural, architectural, engineering or geographic significance. Further, protection of cultural assets from demolition by neglect is an objective of this subchapter. Please note: Obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmarks Board does not authorize the applicant to build a structure. Building permits are required prior to construction. May 16, 2016, Landmarks Board Agenda 3 (A) Case No. C/A 2016-28(EC). 533 Jefferson Street. Ted McCullough. The applicant is requesting approval to replace the windows and two rear doors; replace the front porch decking and columns and add a railing; re-side the rear addition; and add fencing. The applicant is requesting approval to build a new single-family dwelling on a vacant lot. [Frenchtown Preservation District, Ward 1] (C) Case No. C/A 2016-08(SP). 1006 North Benton Avenue. William Scheffer. The applicant is requesting approval to replace the existing rear deck roof and carport with a new screened-in deck and carport, replace the combination wood privacy and chain link fence with a vinyl privacy and picket fence, and add a greenhouse addition to the rear shed.
