The applicant is requesting approval to install a 6-foot tall wood privacy fence and a short retaining wall in the rear yard. The applicant is requesting approval to install a 3.5-foot tall wood picket fence along the rear property line. The applicant is requesting approval to replace the tile on the floor of the recessed entry bay and to add a cast iron nosing to the step. Structure Review Section 400.1180 Purpose The purpose of this subchapter is to protect, enhance, and perpetrate buildings, structures, districts, and sites of historical, cultural, architectural, engineering or geographic significance. Further, protection of cultural assets from demolition by neglect is an objective of this subchapter. Please note: Obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmarks Board does not authorize the applicant to build a structure. Building permits are required prior to construction. Tom Maurer. The applicant is requesting approval to replace a 3-tiered rear gallery with a 2-tiered gallery and to rectify noncompliance with previous approvals (replace the vinyl awning with canvas and paint corrugated metal walls).
