On Monday, August 21, 2017, at 6:00 p.m., the City of St. Charles Landmarks Board will hold
its regular monthly meeting in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200
North Second Street, St. Charles, Missouri. The agenda for this meeting is as follows:
Attention Applicants: It is necessary that you or a knowledgeable representative of your interests be
present at the meeting to answer any questions the Board may have concerning your application.
Failure to provide answers to the Board’s questions may result in your application being tabled or

(A) Case No. C/A 2017-52(EC). 1034 Lindenwood Avenue. Shamrock Drywall, Inc.
The applicant is requesting approval to install a canvas shed awning over the main

(B) Case No. C/A 2017-17(SP). 960 Vine Street. Red Oak Landscape. The applicant
is requesting approval to replace the existing retaining walls with Rockwood Classic
6” concrete block retaining walls and install an above-ground swimming pool.

applicant is requesting approval to replace the existing wood retaining wall with a

is requesting approval to replace three vinyl windows in the rear wing with custom

(E) Case No. C/A 2017-18(SP). 700 Monroe Street. Ryan Mollison. The applicant is
requesting approval to build a deck on the rear of the house. [Extended Historic

(F) Case No. C/A 2017-50(EC). 1004 Madison Street. Karen Conner. The applicant
is requesting approval to install a 5-foot tall vinyl privacy fence in the rear yard.

applicant is requesting approval to build a hip-roof cover over the rear patio and a

5. Structure Review
Section 400.1180 Purpose
The purpose of this subchapter is to protect, enhance, and perpetrate buildings,
structures, districts, and sites of historical, cultural, architectural, engineering or
geographic significance. Further, protection of cultural assets from demolition by
neglect is an objective of this subchapter.

Please note: Obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmarks Board
does not authorize the applicant to build a structure. Building permits are required
prior to construction.

Case No. C/A 2017-39(EC). 208 North Main Street. Nick Hamilton. The applicant
is requesting after-the-fact approval to install two vinyl awnings and rope lighting.

The applicant is requesting approval to replace the front gallery with an addition and
new gallery, reside the façade, and replace windows. [Extended Historic
