[Historic Downtown District, Ward 1] This item was tabled at the July 2018 Landmarks Board meeting to allow the applicant time to revise the sign design. 5. Structure Review Section 400.1180 Purpose The purpose of this subchapter is to protect, enhance, and perpetrate buildings, structures, districts, and sites of historical, cultural, architectural, engineering or geographic significance. Further, protection of cultural assets from demolition by neglect is an objective of this subchapter. Please note: Obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmarks Board does not authorize the applicant to build a structure. The applicant is seeking approval to alter the front porch. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 7] The application was tabled at the September 17th, 2018 meeting so the applicant can revise the design and reconsider materials. (B) Case No. C/A 2018-90(EC). 615 North Kingshighway Street. Rachel Santel. The applicant is seeking approval to add a nearly full-length front porch, new windows, new front door, expand rear porch and to paint all exterior brick white. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 7] (C) Case No. C/A 2018.96(EC). 628 Washington Street. Judy Steele. The applicant is seeking approval to install new windows and doors, add a rear shed dormer and build a new first floor rear deck. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 1] 6.
