LANDMARKS BOARD AGENDA FOR REGULAR MEETING December 10th, 2018 LANDMARKS BOARD: Steve Martin, Chairperson Tom Kuypers, Vice Chair Denise Mitchell, Secretary Michelle Beucke Cheryl Primm Gene Wood Sherilyn Blair Chris Black Tom Besselman, Council Liaison Mesdames and Gentlemen: On Monday, December 10th, 2018, at 6:00 p.m., the City of St. Charles Landmarks Board will hold its regular monthly meeting in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200 North Second Street, St. Charles, Missouri. The agenda for this meeting is as follows: Attention Applicants: It is necessary that you or a knowledgeable representative of your interests be present at the meeting to answer any questions the Board may have concerning your application. Failure to provide answers to the Board’s questions may result in your application being tabled or denied. 1. Call to order and call the roll. 2. Consent Agenda (A) Case No. C/A 2018-119(EC). 720 Adams Street. Dan Gallagher. The applicant is requesting approval to install new wood and vinyl windows. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 1] (B) Case No. C/A 2018-120(EC). 800 Clark Street. Mark Mountford. The applicant is requesting approval to install two new window openings on west side of building. [Commons Preservation District, Ward 1] (C) Case No. C/A 2018-0117(EC). 902 South Main Street. Leslie Pugh. The applicant is requesting approval to repair all damaged wood trim and replace front porch posts to match existing. [South Main Preservation District, Ward 2] (D) Case No. C/A 2018-0121(EC). 800 South Seventh Street. Zach Govreau. The applicant is requesting approval to replace two existing retaining walls. The applicant is requesting approval to install a six-foot wood fence in the rear yard. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 2] 3. Items Removed from the Consent Agenda 4. Structure Review Section 400.1180 Purpose The purpose of this subchapter is to protect, enhance, and perpetrate buildings, structures, districts, and sites of historical, cultural, architectural, engineering or geographic significance. Further, protection of cultural assets from demolition by neglect is an objective of this subchapter. Please note: Obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmarks Board does not authorize the applicant to build a structure. Building permits are required prior to construction. (A) Case No. C/A 2018.96(EC). 628 Washington Street. Judy Steele. The applicant is seeking approval to install new windows, add a rear shed dormer, building a new front porch and install a 3’ wood fence in rear yard. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 1] A portion of the original application was tabled at the November 19th, 2018 meeting so the applicant can consider design modifications to the second-floor rear addition. (B) Case No. C/A 2018.0083(EC). 416 Lindenwood Avenue. Thomas Sinopole. The applicant is seeking after the fact approval to install a faux brick veneer over wood siding. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 7] This application was tabled at the November 19th, 2018 meeting so additional research could be done into the court records for the project (C) Case No. C/A 2018.0027(SP). 403 First Capitol Drive. Stephen Hollander. The applicant is seeking approval to construct a single-story brick addition for the business, Pio’s Restaurant. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 2] 6.
