On Monday, July 15th, 2019, at 6:00 p.m., the City of St. Charles Landmarks Board will hold
its regular monthly meeting in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200
North Second Street, St. Charles, Missouri. The agenda for this meeting is as follows:
Attention Applicants: It is necessary that you or a knowledgeable representative of your interests be
present at the meeting to answer any questions the Board may have concerning your application.

(A) Case No. C/A 2019-075(EC). 630 Clark Street. Russell Ede. The applicant is
requesting approval to do porch and dormer repair. [Commons Historic District,

(B) Case No. C/A 2019-070(EC). 329 North Sixth Street. Grant & Patricia Clark. Install
board and batten siding on previously approved new garage. [Extended Historic
Preservation District, Ward 1]
(C) Case No. C/A 2019-067(EC). 1017 South Main Street. Gary & Holly Haddox. The
applicant is requesting approval to rehabilitate a 1950’s ranch and garage.

5. Structure Review
Section 400.1180 Purpose
The purpose of this subchapter is to protect, enhance, and perpetrate buildings,
structures, districts, and sites of historical, cultural, architectural, engineering or
geographic significance. Further, protection of cultural assets from demolition by
neglect is an objective of this subchapter.
Please note: Obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmarks Board
does not authorize the applicant to build a structure. Building permits are required
prior to construction.
(A) Case No. C/A 2019-044(EC). 132 North Main Street. Tony Bethmann. The
applicant is requesting approval to replace fourteen wooden posts with metal posts
on a second-floor front gallery porch. [Historic Downtown District, Ward 1]
(B) Case No. C/A 2019-012(SP). 906 South Fourth Street. Jared Blythe. The applicant
is requesting approval to construct a 1½ story frame addition on the south side of
the house. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 2]
(C) Case No. C/A 2019-064(EC). 701 Washington Street. Brandee & Mark Opelt. The
applicant is requesting approval to construct a new 6’ privacy fence. [Frenchtown
