On Monday, March 16th, 2020, at 6:00 p.m., the City of St. Charles Landmarks Board will hold
its regular monthly meeting in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200
North Second Street, St. Charles, Missouri. The agenda for this meeting is as follows:
Attention Applicants: It is necessary that you or a knowledgeable representative of your interests be
present at the meeting to answer any questions the Board may have concerning your application.
Failure to provide answers to the Board’s questions may result in your application being tabled or

(A) Case No. C/A 2020-011(EC). 622 Washington Street. Tamara Braithwaite. The
applicant is requesting approval to tuckpoint the building. (Façade Grant Project)

(B) Case No. C/A 2020-012(EC). 142 North Main Street. Dustin English. The applicant
is requesting approval to repair three dormers, cornice, gutters and roofing. (Façade

(C) Case No. C/A 2020-013(EC). 200-226 North Main Street. Sharlotte & George
Worthington. The applicant is requesting approval to repaint a commercial building
and restore a portion the storefront. (Façade Grant Project) [Historic Downtown

approval for one freestanding sign for the business, “Touchstone Healing Arts

(C) Permit No. 20-0931. 650 North Main Center. Ian Anderson. The applicant is
requesting approval for one hanging sign for the business, “Climb So ILL”.

5. Structure Review
Section 400.1180 Purpose
The purpose of this subchapter is to protect, enhance, and perpetrate buildings,
structures, districts, and sites of historical, cultural, architectural, engineering or
geographic significance. Further, protection of cultural assets from demolition by
neglect is an objective of this subchapter.
Please note: Obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmarks Board
does not authorize the applicant to build a structure. Building permits are required
prior to construction.
(A) Case No. C/A 2020-002(SP). 609 Houston Street. Adam & Erin Strein. The
applicant is requesting approval to construct a new side porch and rehabilitate the
