Committee Meeting Updates: (Google drive updates, IT committee updates) 2. Ball Field Updates: Softball players have a tournament the same weekend as Fall Festival. They will be unable to help out. 3. 2023 Budget/Impact Fee Balance: 4. Volunteer Priorities: a. Kiosk, posts and signage at Preserve: Kiosk is up, posts A removed in the fall. b. Buckthorn and tree removal at Hwy 35: Hwy 35 was mowed by K. Lindstrom and small trees removed for ease of future mowing. Trash was picked up. BUSINESS: 1. Discuss Outdoor Recreation Plan final approval: Plan has been received back from the county and will be sent to Stantec to be updated. 2. Discuss Pickleball Updates: Koreen (pickleball representative) will be putting together a survey that could be sent out through Survey Monkey or distributed at the Town Fall Festival. She has gathered locations of pickleball courts in nearby communities to submit to the Town Board. Alternate locations for the courts was discussed. 3. Review and discuss ToSJ park properties, site inspections, action plans: a) Town Hall Park and Preserve: Slide parts have been received and it was discussed when John, Chris and Nina will meet to put stakes in to mark slide location. b) Nature Preserve: A resident has offered to donate slabs to be used as benches in the park. K. Lindstrom and volunteers will work on project. Kiosk and all trail signage has been installed. Park is in full bloom with summer wild flowers. Thank you to committee members K. Lindstom, N. Boonacker and volunteers for all their hard work. c) Perch Lake Launch Area and Parking Lot: There is weeding to be done and garbage to be picked up near the parking lot and steps at Perch Lake. M. Vanasse will talk with volunteers. Committee will need to discuss how they would like to move forward with the 4 th of July parking concerns. d) Thelen Cemetery: Removal of down branches and addition of pea gravel is needed. If town has extra gravel, it could be used at the cemetery. e) Hwy 35 Rest Area: Site will require mowing 1-2 times per summer. Town tractor is broken. K. Lindstrom volunteered to mow site and remove small trees. Garbage was picked up after mowing. f) Bike/Pedestrian Facilities: 4. Fall Festival: Teri will be updating Facebook the week before the Fall Festival. Mike Soine and Pat Tuma put out signs on the major roads to advertise the Fall Festival. 5. Discuss impact fees and acquisition of ROW for trail to 23rd ST: Laurie to report. 6. Review Annual Park Management Plan: Tabled to next meeting. Next Meeting: September 20, 2023, 6:00 pm .
