MINUTES of JOINT MEETING of the TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE and TOWN BOARD February 25, 2025 CALL TO ORDER by Chair John Ringhofer at 6:30 pm STATEMENT OF PUBLIC NOTICE read by Chair Ringhofer ROLL CALL: Chair John Ringhofer, Anton Rang, Mary Tyson, Peter Gallick, Teri Kelly PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE recited ADOPTION OF AGENDA: MOTION to adopt the agenda (Rang/Tyson). Motion carried. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Technology Committee Minutes of 1-28-2025 Meeting. MOTION to approve the minutes from the January 28, 2025 Meeting (Ringhofer/Rang). Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION and/or ACTIONS BY COMMITTEE 1. Welcome new committee member: Welcomed Peter Gallick to the Technology Committee. Peter Gallick discussed his background and experience. All members introduced themselves and provided their background information. 2. Ongoing Items:  Synology: Teri discussed her conversations with Tim Whiteside and the status of the Synology setup.  Town Hall update: Teri stated the building is progressing quickly. The technology portion will begin soon.  Password management o 1Password: MOTION to recommend to the Town Board the purchase for a one-year license for 1Passowrd at a total cost not to exceed $400 (Rang/Ringhofer). Motion carried.  Computer Lifecycle Management o Laptops: Tim Whiteside recommended HP Envy X360. The committee would like further information on business-class laptops, including an HP Elitebook, Lenovo, and Dell.  Website Update: There are currently no issues with the website and it is being updated regularly.  Review IT Budget: Discussion on the charge for the ABB Cloud NAS subscription which will be moved to IT Software. RECOMMENDATIONS TO TOWN BOARD: 1Password subscription ITEMS FOR NEXT AGENDA: Carry over everything. Ask Tim when offsite backup was tested.
