Town of St. Joseph - St Croix County, WI Minutes of the Special Town Board Meeting St. Joseph Town Hall April 14, 2025 Call to Order by Chair Theresa Johnson at 5:30 pm Statement of Public Notice read by Clerk Roll Call: Chair Theresa Johnson, Dan Gavin, Chris Marshall, Matt Moore, Attorney Nick Vivian, Engineer Lee Mann, Engineer Bruce Paulson, Tim Butterfield, Butterfield Well Drilling. Not Present: Justin Kruse Adoption of Agenda: MOTION to adopt the agenda as posted (Moore/Marshall). Motion carried. 1. Review of fire suppression system with well a. MOTION to go into Closed Session pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 19.85(1)(e) and (1)(g) (Gavin/Marshall) Roll Call: Matt Moore-Aye, Dan Gavin-Aye, Chris Marshall-Aye, Theresa Johnson-Aye. Motion carried. Closed Session: Wis. Stat. § 19.85(1)(e) and (1)(g) - Deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session / Conferring with legal counsel who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved; i. Resolution with Stantec regarding well and fire suppression system Justin Kruse present at 5:35 pm 2. Any action from discussion in closed session: Discussion about the Town’s decision to move into the utilization of the 8’ well, as well as looking into the 7-stage pump for the 8” well. MOTION as a matter of direction to Stantec to pursue our well solution using the existing 8” well with a modified 75 hp pump to see how that potentially resolves the well issues (Gavin/Moore).
