MINUTES of the JOINT MEETING of the TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE and TOWN BOARD May 27, 2025 CALL TO ORDER by Chair John Ringhofer at 6:32pm STATEMENT OF PUBLIC NOTICE read by Chair Ringhofer ROLL CALL: Chair John Ringhofer, Anton Rang, Mary Tyson, Teri Kelly, Theresa Johnson. Not present: Peter Gallick, Joel Skinner PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE recited ADOPTION OF AGENDA: MOTION to adopt the Agenda as presented (Rang/Tyson). Motion carried. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Technology Committee Minutes of 4-22-2025 Meeting: MOTION to approve the Minutes from the April 22nd Technology Committee Meeting (Ringhofer/Kelly). Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION and/or ACTIONS BY COMMITTEE 1. Ongoing Items  Town Hall update: The Committee took a tour of the new building. The move-in date is expected for the end of June. Discussed the June timeline.  Synology:  Password management o 1Password: 1Password is in use and working well. All passwords are integrated and it needs some clean up. This will come off the agenda.  Computer Lifecycle Management o Laptops: Reviewed the list of laptop statistics and comparisons. Need to obtain information from the Fire Chief regarding laptop, tablets, and desktops. John discussed his review of the laptop choices, preferred the Lenovo option for the price, quality, and CPU. MOTION to recommend that we contact Sunnylink and get pricing on two Lenovo Thinkpads, and recommend to the Board for the expenditure of no more than $2,200 for two laptops (Rang/Ringhofer). Motion carried.  Website Add-on – HeyGov: Reviewed the proposal received from Town Web regarding additional modules regarding licensing and payment. The Committee decided it does not add enough value at this time compared to the price.  Review IT Budget RECOMMENDATIONS TO TOWN BOARD: Laptop motion ITEMS FOR NEXT AGENDA: Remove password management; computer lifecycle management regarding Fire Dept equipment and needs; remove website DATE OF NEXT MEETING: June 17, 2025 ADJOURNMENT: MOTION to adjourn at 7:16 pm (Tyson/Rang).
