THE COMMISSIONERS OF ST.MICHAELS TELEPHONE: 410.745.9535 SETTLED 1670-1680 INCORPORATED 1804 FACSIMILE: 410.745.3463 Meeting Minutes March 25th, 2026 I. 5:00pm – CALL TO ORDER FOR A LEGISLATIVE SESSION – PLEDGE OF ALLEGIENCE Commissioner Hudson, President, called to order a Legislative Session for the Commissioners of St. Michaels at 5:00pm in St. Michaels, Maryland and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Present at the meeting were Commissioners Kat Whittington, and David Wojciechowski (virtual). Other representatives Town Manager – Don Richardson, Town Clerk – Kristen Payne, and Town Planner – Steve Ball. Approximately 20 members of the public were present. II. ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM THE COMMISSION Commissioner Hudson wished everyone a Happy “Maryland Day”. March 25, 1634 marks the first day of English Settlers at St. Clement’s Island and the founding of the colony of Maryland. III. Dog Park – Town Manager, Don Richardson presented 4 design options, 2 at each Mill Street and Canton Farm Nature Preserve. Commissioners instruct staff to move forward with concept plans for Mill Street. V. CONSENT AGENDA FOR MEETING MINUTES & EVENTS a. 3.11.2026 - Meeting Minutes – Commissioner Whittington made a motion to approve 3.11.2026 Meeting Minutes, seconded by Commissioner Wojciechowski. Passed by roll call vote, 3-0 in favor. b. 2026-08 - Event Permit – CBMM – Eastern Shore Sea Glass & Coastal Arts Festival – Commissioner Whittington made a motion to approve CBMM – Eastern Shore Sea Glass & Coastal Arts Festival Event, seconded by Commissioner Wojciechowski. Passed by roll call vote, 3-0 in favor. c. 2026-09 - Event Permit – CBMM – Antique & Classic Boat Festival – Commissioner Wojciechowski made a motion to approve CBMM - Antique & Classic Boat Festival Event, seconded by Commissioner Whittington. Passed by roll call vote, 3-0 in favor. d. 2026-10 - Event Permit – CBMM – Big Band Night – Commissioner Whittington made a motion to approve CBMM – Big Band Night Event, seconded by Commissioner Wojciechowski. Passed by roll call vote, 3-0 in favor. e. 2026-11 - Event Permit – CBMM – Waterman’s Appreciation Day – Commissioner Wojciechowski made a motion to approve CBMM - Waterman's Appreciation Day Event, seconded by Commissioner Whittington. Passed by roll call vote, 3-0 in favor. f. 2026-12 - Event Permit – CBMM – Charity Boat Auction- Commissioner Wojciechowski made a motion to approve CBMM - Charity Boat Auction Event, seconded by Commissioner Whittington. Passed by roll call vote, 3-0 in favor.  g. 2026-13 - Event Permit – CBMM – MidAtlantic Small Craft Festival – Commissioner Whittington made a motion to approve CBMM – MidAtlantic Small Craft Festival Event, seconded by Commissioner Wojciechowski. Passed by roll call vote, 3-0 in favor. h. 2026-14 - Event Permit – CBMM – OysterFest – Commissioner Whittington made a motion to approve CBMM – OysterFest, seconded by Commissioner Wojciechowski. Passed by roll call vote, 3-0 in favor. i. 2026-15 - Event Permit – CBMM – Eastern Shore Sea Glass & Coastal Art Festival – Holiday Edition – Commissioner Whittington made a motion to approve CBMM – Eastern Shore Sea Glass & Coastal Art Festival – Holiday Edition Event, seconded by Commissioner Hudson. Passed by roll call vote 2-1 in favor. j. 2026-16 - Event Permit – CBMM – Winter on the Chesapeake – Holiday Celebration VI. INTRODUCTION OF RESOLUTION a. Introduction of Resolution 2026-02 – Comp Plan – A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSIONERS OF ST. MICHAELS TO ADOPT THE 2026 ST. MICHAELS COMPREHENSIVE PLAN – Commissioners direct staff to set a Public Hearing for April 22nd, 2026, and advertise the proposed resolution for public notice. VII. COMMENTS FROM THE COMMISSION VIII. ADJOURNMENT Public Participation: All comments from the public will be taken during the period set aside for "Comments from the Public." The "Comments from the Public" portion of the Commission agenda shall have a limited time period as determined by the Commissioners, and shall be at the beginning and at the end of each agenda. To be recognized, a member of the public should raise his or her hand and wait to be recognized by the President. Comments and questions should be kept brief and to the point, and be directed to the President.
