Star Historical Committee Meeting Minutes from 3/12/2025 1. Roll Call - 6:05 PM. Majority present. 2. Previous Meeting Minutes Approval - 2.12.25 Minutes were approved unanimously 3. Member Reports 1. Star Library Kiosk Update - Ron is using a personal computer to scan documents. The library is getting a computer to scan documents as well. The City is possibly providing a refurbished computer. 2. St. Street Plaque, Brick Update - The Parcel in question is coming before the council on 4/1/2025. We will be provided an update after that date. 3. Time Capsule Update - Rick provided examples of possible time capsules. Discussed. 4. Committee Recommendations to the City Council - Recommending a budget to not exceed $1,500 for the purchase of a medium-sized time capsule in the size of 19.8X18.2X10.3, with the “City of Star seal,” and an enscription of “To Be Opened On 6/4/2050,” and a Document Preservation Kit. Would Council prefer it be in a wall or concrete in the foyer of City Hall under glass? 5. Adjournment - 7:06 PM
