STEELTON BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES March 6th, 2023 Present: Brian Proctor, President Jack Gombach, Interim Borough Manager Michael Segina, Vice President Ryan Gonder, Solicitor Natashia Woods Randy Watts, Engineer, HRG Willie Slade Aaron Curry, Codes Enforcement Officer Ciera Dent, Mayor Jeff Baltimore, Public Works Director William Shaub, Interim Police Chief Gene Vance, Fire Chief Absent: Ms. Bowers, Mr. Jones. President Proctor opened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Mayor Dent led the group in a Moment of Silent Reflection. Roll was not called; however, those in attendance are listed above. Mr. Proctor stated that two executive sessions were held prior to tonight’s meeting. Last Thursday March 2nd, 2023 and just prior to tonight’s meeting. Additions to Agenda (if needed): None Public Comments on Agenda items only: No comments were made. Approval of minutes from the previous meeting: None Unfinished Business: None New Business: Motion made by Mr. Segina, seconded by Mr. Slade to table the following items on the Agenda: • Discussion and possible action relating to the Christian Street vacation request made by American Water. • Discussion and possible action relating to offering letters of support for local grants. • Discussion and possible action relating to hiring a Borough Manager. Motion passed unanimously. After some discussion: Motion made by Mr. Segina, seconded by Mr. Slade to approval the quote from Industrial Service Solutions in the amount of $5,256.54 for emergency repairs to the Trewick Pump Station. Motion passed unanimously. Mr. Gombach present to council a Request for Proposal for cleaning services at the borough building. Mr. Gombach described the services requested in the Request for Proposal and asked council to solicit quotes. Motion made by Mr. Slade, seconded by Ms. Woods to use the Request for Proposal for cleaning services to solicit quotes.. Motion passed unanimously.
