STERLING HEIGHTS CULTURAL COMMISSION Minutes of Tuesday, May 6, 2014 Meeting Location: Sterling Heights City Hall, 40555 Utica Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48313, Lower Level SHTV Production Room, 6 p.m. Members Present: Maurice Batarseh, Josephine Berthet, Ronald Bindle, David Bollman, Jan Burns, Frank DiMaria, Grace Finazzo, Margaret Frontiera, Donald Schinzing Members Absent: Eboni LaMar, Jeanne Schabath , John Stampor Representing the City: Karen Kazmer Meeting called to order at 6 p.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES : Motion to approve the meeting minutes of the April 1, 2014 Cultural Commission made by Ron Bindle. Seconded by: Frank DiMaria Ayes: all Nays: none AGENDA ITEMS: A. Memorial Day Parade  Karen Kazmer reported six bands have registered to perform in the Memorial Day Parade.  Parade line-up and volunteer schedule will be emailed to all commission members. B. Featured Artist  Dennis Calhoun applied for the Featured Artist Program. Due to the jurying of artist applications at tonight’s meeting, commission members will review Mr. Calhoun’s application at the June meeting. C. Sterlingfest Art & Craft Jury Night  Commission members reviewed and juried all artist applications for Sterlingfest. . Motion to adjourn at 7:35 p.m. made by Frank DiMaria.
