Oracle  To date, $6,285.14 has been repaid to the Community Foundation for the purchase of the Oracle Sculpture. To enhance its partnership with the Cultural Commission, the Community Foundation has agreed to relieve the debt on the Oracle fun and utilize it instead towards the establishment of an endowment fund. An endowment is valuable because eventually interest earned on that account can be used to fund art projects in perpetuity. $5,000 is needed to establish a fund with the Foundation and the balance of $1,285 could be used for upcoming art projects. If Cultural Commission members decide not to establish an endowment, $2,285.14 will be earmarked for arts projects with the Community Foundation. Interest earnings from an endowment fund are the only monies available for yearly disbursement. Motion to establish an arts endowment fund with the Sterling Heights Community Foundation in the amount of $5,000 and have available $1,285 for future projects made by Ronald Bindle.
