CITY OF STERLING HEIGHTS CITIZEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 15, 2012 -6:00 PM Chairman Jeffery Norgrove called the meeting to order at 6:04 pm Members Present: Judith Foley, Charles Jefferson, Jeffrey Norgrove, Paul Palmeri, Joanne Paraventi, and Janet Widrig. Members Absent: Andrew Pulford Also in Attendance: Stephanie Burgess, HUD Program Coordinator Approval of Agenda: Moved by Foley, supported by Widrig, to approve the agenda as amended to approve the minutes of the September 10, 2012 meeting. Ayes: All Nays: None Motion Passed Approval of Minutes: Moved by Foley supported by Widrig, to approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 10, 2012 as presented Ayes: All Nays: None Motion Passed Election of Officers Moved by Widrig, supported by Jefferson, to nominate Joanne Paraventi for Secretary of the Citizen Advisory Committee. Ms. Paraventi accepted the nomination for Secretary of the Citizen Advisory Committee. Ayes: All Nays: None Motion Passed Moved by Paraventi, supported by Palmeri, to nominate Jeffrey Norgrove for Chairman, and Charles Jefferson for Vice-Chairman of the Citizen Advisory Committee. Mr. Norgrove accepted the nomination for Chairman of the Citizen Advisory Committee. Mr. Jefferson accepted the nomination for Vice-Chairman of the Citizen Advisory Committee. Ayes: All Nays: None Motion Passed CDBG Promotional Video Due to the reduction of SHTV staff the promotional video will be done by SHTV staff voice over using existing footage. Notice of the public hearing will be published in the Source Newspaper. 2013/14 Funding Request Procedures Stephanie Burgess reviewed the draft of the 2013/14 funding application. Applications will be distributed by October 22, 2012 and will be due by November 14,2012. A discussion took place regarding a possible limit on per person funding allowed for public service activities. Other Business The agenda for the next meeting, which includes all funding requests, would be compiled into a binder. Committee members will be able to pick up their binders from the Sterling Heights Public Library on Saturday, November 17 – Wednesday, November 21.
