CITY OF STERLING HEIGHTS CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENT AUTHORITY MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING July 11, 2012– 5:30 P.M. 40555 UTICA ROAD Sterling Heights, MI 48313 CITY CENTER – ROOM 201 Approved Mary Marcinak called the meeting to order at 5:40 p.m. Members present at roll call: James Boehmer, Denice Gerstenberg, Rose Tocco, Mary Marcinak Members absent: Dennis Hansinger resigned, Dan Crombez, Joe Haney, non-excused Also in attendance: Teresa Jarzab, Recording Secretary Motion to Approve the Agenda Moved by Gerstenberg, supported by Boehmer, to approve the agenda as presented. Ayes: All Nays: None Motion carried. Motion to Approve the August 31, 2011 Minutes Moved by Tocco, supported by Marcinak, to approve the minutes from August 31, 2011. Ayes: All Nays: None Motion carried. New Business Ms. Gerstenberg gave an update of the park project (Speedway). All the contamination has been cleaned up. Report has been cleared by the DEQ, and we closed the property in June. Bids for the park project have been done and will be awarded in August, and the project will start this fall. General discussion ensued about the park design and development. Ms. Marcinak made note of the deed restrictions on the property. General discussion regarding the naming of the park continued, several suggestions were considered.
