MINUTES STERLING HEIGHTS HOUSING COMMISSION May 10, 2022 Call To Order by Vice President Szatkowski at 6:08 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance and Invocation. Roll Call. Present: Szatkowski, Terry, Walker Absent: M. Venetis, Taylor Present: Executive Director Teresa Jarzab, Sabrina Bollinger, Fourmidable, Approval of Agenda . Moved by Walker, support by Terry to approve agenda. Ayes: All. Approval of Minutes . Moved by Walker, support by Terry to approve the January 11, 2022 minutes. Ayes: All. Executive Director Report. Covid boosters were given. Ms. Jarzab introduced new commission member Pamela Terry. Generator update Monthly Financial Reports. Szatkowski wanted to thank Fourmidable for a good job! Moved by Walker support by Terry to accept the Schoenherr Towers Operating Summaries Ayes: All. Moved by Walker support by Terry to accept the Voucher Program Operating Summaries. Ayes: All. New Business 1. Monthly Management Reports . Moved by Walker, support by Terry to accept the monthly management reports as presented by Fourmidable. Ayes: All. 2. Operating & Voucher Program Summaries (Register & Utility Payables ). Moved by Walker, support by Terry, to approve the housing assistance program register and utility payables as presented by Fourmidable. Ayes: All. Agenda 1 1. Moved by Walker , support by Terry , to award the Unit Turn Carpet/Vinyl program contract to Solar Contract Carpets, whose address is, 12227 Beech Daly road, Redford, MI 48239, for two years with an optional one year extension in the amount of $1,473.00 per unit, under resolution 2022-5-01. Ayes: All 2. Moved by Walker , support by Terry, to award the lawn care services contract to Professional Ground Services, whose address is 15201 E. Eleven Mile, Roseville, MI 48066 for two years with an optional one year extension in the amount of $19,139.00 under resolution 2022-5-02. Ayes: All Public Participation. Resident requested an Electric Vehicle charging station to be installed. Ms. Jarzab stated that the city is currently conducting an EV study and we will consider the request after the study has been completed. Ms. Jubenville stated that we told the resident we would not install an EV station before the resident purchased the vehicle. Staff has researched in the installation options, talked with the electrical inspector and priced the options. Costs are between $6,000-$18,000 to install properly. Member of the resident council indicated they would like a memorial plaque. They will work with Niki on the purchase. Adjourn.
