Manufacturers Engage in March was geared to small/medium manufacturers addressing their challenges and how to deal with them. Partnering with Toffler for a Manufacturers Engage with a topic of the Biden administration and policies relating to manufacturing. Ongoing updates to the Velocity-Center website. Lunch and Learn speaker series two books – “Big Little Breakthroughs” by Josh Linkner and “Convergence” by Deborah Westfall. Working on building the brand and developing relevant and engaging programming Tech Tuesdays – technology displays (5 over the course of the summer) Macomb County Robotics & Innovation Center (MCRIC) now in Velocity. Issue Media Group will interview key stakeholders to outline the story, vision statement, brand narrative, important storylines and assets that will enable the creation of an overall brand, series of stories and microsite / landing page for the initiative. The LDFA is requested to support this marketing initiative for $46,000. The funds used to cover the cost of this partnership agreement will come from the LDFA “local” tax capture, and not the Smartzone “school” capture. The LDFA has paid for the installation of Sterling Innovation Signage throughout the corridor. This project will bring meaning and definition to our robust tech hub. Suggested Action: MOVED BY: SECONDED BY: RESOLVED, to approve an extension of the proposal between the City of Sterling Heights Local Development Finance Authority and Issue Media Group for a marketing partnership.  A Proposal For Sterling Heights Innovation District Objective To develop a brand and communications platform for the launch of a Sterling Heights Innovation district. Strategy Issue Media Group (IMG) will engage key stakeholders involved in the creation of a Sterling Heights Innovation District to understand the vision, aspirations, assets, companies and resources that will be involved in the district. Issue Media Group will interview key stakeholders to outline the story, vision statement, brand narrative, important storylines and assets that will enable the creation of an overall brand, series of stories and microsite / landing page for the initiative. — Program Deliverables — Define the Story and Capture The Vision ● Conduct stakeholder interviews (6-10) ● Develop “New York Times Style” story for the(+1200 - 1600 words) ● Develop overall project vision statement for the innovation district (250-400 words) Define the Brand / Brand Essence Statement ● 30 words that capture brand essence and value proposition Develop Sterling Heights Innovation District Logo ● Develop 5 logo options *Look and feel of logos will be designed to integrate into the overall City of Sterling Heights look and feel. Storytelling + Promotional Strategy ● Develop a 6-Part editorial series to be published in MetroMode and Second Wave and actively promoted through Issue Media Group social media networks. * Innovation District series would be focused and separate from the current Sterling Heights series in MetroMode.  ● Develop an overall marketing and promotional strategy for the innovation district to include a top 5 list of recommendations. Sterling Heights Innovation District Advertising Campaign in Issue Media Group Network of sites. ● Issue Media Group will develop an advertising and branding campaign for Sterling Heights Innovation District. This campaign will include but not be limited to ad placement in high-value Issue Media Group sites including SecondWave, Concentrate, Model D, MetroMode and Flintside publications. Ad Specs: https://www.issuemediagroup.com/ad-specs/ Program Investment: $46,000 Contract Terms This contract contains the entire agreement between Issue Media Group and City of Sterling Heights and there are no other conditions in any other written or oral agreement concerning the subject matter in this contract. This contract supersedes any prior written or oral agreement between Issue Media Group Media and City of Sterling Heights. No amendment, change or modification to this contract will be effective unless it is in writing and signed by both parties. Either IMG or City of Sterling Heights may terminate this contract for any reason by giving the other party 30-days written notice. Payment terms: Payment due upon receipt of invoice(s).
