Faye Coffield - Why are meetings held in the AM and where would permanent location be and when will they be able to call the city "City of Stonecrest". ELECTION OF MAYOR PRO TEMPORE: Motion and Vote: Councilmember George Turner nominated Diane Adoma, (Dist. 5) for Mayor Pro Tempore and Councilmember Rob Turner (Dist. 2) nominated Jazzmin Cobble (Dist.3) Result: Mayor Lury, Jimmy Clanton, George Turner and Diane Adoma voted in favor of Diane Adoma. Rob Turner and Jazzmin Cobble voted in favor of Jaz.zmin Cobble. The Vote resulted 4 to 2 for Diane Adoma (Dist. 5) 8. RESOLUTION OF APPOINTMENTS Motion and Vote: Mayor Lary moved to approve the appointment of Acting City Clerk, Carolyn Andrews. Seconder: Councilmember Rob Tuner (Dist.2) Result: The Motion was approved (Unanimously) Motion and Vote: Councilmember Rob Turner (Dist.2) Moved to approve Acting City Attorney Thompson Kurrie, Jr. and Assistant City Attorney Steven Fincher and Winston Denmark Seconder: Councilmember George Turner (Dist. 4) Result: The Motion was approved (Unanimously) 9. REPORT Presentation: The Chair of Governor's Commission on the City of Stonecrest, Joel Thibodeaux, presented a final report and recommendations to the Mayor and City Council. RESOLUTION ADOPTING MEETING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES Motion and Vote: Councilmember George Turner (Dist. 4) moved to approve adopt the meeting policies and procedures Seconder: Councilmember Rob Tuner (Dist. 2). Result: The Motion was approved (Unanimously) 12. RESOLUTION TO NOTIFY DEKALB COUNTY REGARDING INTENT TO TRANSFER PLANNING AND ZONING TO THE CITY OF STONECREST Mr. Kurrie summarized the resolution. Seconder: Councilmember Diane Adoma (Dist. 5) Result: The Motion was approved (Unanimously) 13. ORDINANCES a, MEETING SCHEDULE - Presented and read by Mr. Kurrie. Motion and Vote: Councilmember George Turner (Dist. 4) moved to approve the Meeting Schedule. Seconder: Councilmember Diane Adoma (Dist. 5) Result: The Motion was approved (Unanimously) b. MORATORIUM ON ZONING AND LAND DEVELOPMENT PERMITS Presented and Read by: Mr. Tom Kurrie Motion and Vote: Councilmember George Turner @ist. 4) moved to approve the Moratorium on Zoning Ordinance. TRANSITION PERIOD - Mr. Kurrie summarized an Ordinance to Establish the Commencement Date of the Two-Year Transition period for the City of Stonecrest.
