Story City, Iowa March 4, 2019 Mayor Jensen called the special council work session meeting to order on Monday, March 4, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. Present: Mayor Jensen, Administrator Jackson, Council Members Ostrem, Phillips, Solberg, and Sporleder Absent: Crutchfield Also Present: Randy Martindale (Water & Wastewater Superintendent), Derrick Janssen (Water & Wastewater Operator), and Jason Miller & Justin Robinson (MSA Engineers). Motion by Ostrem, seconded by Phillips, to approve the agenda Aye: Ostrem, Phillips, Solberg, and Sporleder Nay: None Motion Carried. Discussion on Wastewater Treatment Plant Jason Miller, MSA Engineers, reviewed the conditions of the existing wastewater treatment plant, future projections, and new DNR regulations. MSA Engineers and City Staff reviewed with the Mayor and Council four potential improvement options, time-frame, and cost. Mayor and City Council asked questions and general discussion took place with City Staff and MSA Engineers on the information provided. Detailed discussion focused on the Aero-Mod Treatment System option. There being no further business before the council, the meeting was adjourned at 6:59 p.m. Attest: Mike Jensen, Mayor Mark A.
