Consent Agenda - Approval of the minutes\ Approved 7-0 6. Consent Agenda - A resolution to accept and appropriate funds for the Southeastern Virginia Area Wide Model Program (SEVAMP) Approved 7-0 7. Consent Agenda - A resolution to accept and appropriate funds for the Suffolk Fine Arts Commission Approved 7-0 8. Consent Agenda - A resolution to accept and appropriate funds from the Office of Emergency Medical Services for the Suffolk Department of Fire and Rescue Approved 7-0 9. Consent Agenda - An ordinance authorizing the Suffolk Industrial Development Authority to change its name to the Suffolk Economic Development Authority Approved 7-0 10. Resolution - A resolution to appropriate funds from the General Fund Unappropriated Fund Balance for immediate support of the Western Tidewater Regional Jail Approved 7-0 11. Motion - A motion to schedule a public hearing for the November 7, 2007, City Council Meeting to receive public comments on the adoption of a waste flow control ordinance Approved 7-0 12. Motion - A motion to schedule a Work Session for October 17, 2007, at 4:00 p.m., unless canceled or called earlier by the Mayor. Approved 7-0 1 A motion to amend the agenda to add the following items for consideration was approved by a vote of 7-0. A motion to appoint the following individuals as voting delegates at the Virginia Municipal League’s 2007 Annual Conference was approved by a vote of 7-0: Council Member Bennett – voting delegate Council Member Barlow – alternate voting delegate 13. Late Appearances - Guidelines for the Late Appearances period are outlined in the City Code Section 2-96 and permit each speaker five (5) minutes to address City Council. There is no limitation on the total time period for Late Appearances. 14. Announcements and Comments from City Council Members A motion to refer to the Planning Commission for consideration and recommendation, a change to the Unified Development Ordinance to allow indoor amusement centers within the Agricultural zoning district was approved by a vote of 7-0. 15.
