Public Hearing - Conditional Use Permit Request C04-08, submitted by Douglas S. Davis and Barbara S. Public Hearing - A public hearing regarding an ordinance amending Chapter 26, entitled elections, of the Code of the City of Suffolk, so as to provide a new polling place for the Southside Precinct at Faith Temple Ministries Christian Fellowship Center Approved 7-0 20. Ordinance - An ordinance amending Chapter 54 of the City Code titled “Miscellaneous Offenses” by repealing Section 36, Tattooing Approved 7-0 21. Ordinance - An ordinance amending Chapter 18 of the City Code titled “Business” to include Article VII, Sections 18-401 through 18-419, Tattoo Parlors and Body Piercing Salons Approved 7-0 22. Ordinance - Subdivision Variance Request V5-07, submitted by Justin W. Nelson, property owner, requesting a variance from Section 31-514 (a)(2) of the Unified Development Ordinance which requires that a family transfer parcel be held by the immediate family member who received it for a minimum of 10 years unless subject to an involuntary transfer (This item was continued from the June 18, 2008, City Council meeting.) A motion to continue consideration of this item to the September 17, 2008, City Council meeting. Approved 5-1-1 (Council Member Bennett voted in opposition and Council Member Gardy abstained.) 23.
