Removal of Items from the Consent Agenda and Adoption of the Agenda A motion to amend the agenda to add a motion to hold a public hearing at the October 5, 2011, City Council meeting regarding the lease of 625 square feet, more or less, for a navigation aid tower at the Suffolk Executive Airport and adopt the remaining agenda was approved 8-0 6. Public Hearing - An ordinance granting Rezoning Request RZ01-11, Historic Conservation Overlay District, to amend the boundaries of the Historic Conservation Overlay District by eliminating certain parcels from the District Approved 8-0 A motion to ask the Planning Commission to study the removal of the following parcels from the Historic Conservation Overlay District: 403 North Main Street, 409 North Main Street, 415 North Main Street and 118 Pinner Street, was approved by a vote of 6-2. (Council Member Barclay and Council Member Duman voted in opposition.) 10. Public Hearing - An ordinance granting Rezoning Request RZ05-10 (Conditional), submitted by Whitney G. Saunders, Esq., of Saunders & Ojeda, P.C., applicant, on behalf of Cloverleaf Development, LLC, property owner, to amend the approved proffered conditions for the property by increasing the number of multi-family units from 114 to 158; reducing the cash proffer amounts related to schools, public safety and road improvements and reducing the minimum square footage for single family dwellings and altering design standards for single family dwellings (This item is being continued from the July 20, 2011, City Council Meeting) A motion to continue the public hearing and further consideration of the application to the October 19, 2011, City Council meeting was approved by a vote of 8-0. 11. Resolution - A resolution to endorse project applications under the Virginia Community Development Block Grant Neighborhood Stabilization Program Approved 8-0 13. Motion - A motion to schedule a Work Session for October 5, 2011, at 4:00 p.m., unless canceled Approved 8-0 Motion - A motion to hold a public hearing at the October 5, 2011, City Council meeting regarding the lease of 625 square feet, more or less, for a navigation aid tower at the Suffolk Executive Airport was approved by a vote of 8-0. New Business A motion to direct City of Suffolk staff revise the proposed redistricting “working map” to better align the communities of interest in the various boroughs, especially in regards to the proposed boroughs boundaries in the vicinity of the downtown area, and to have the new map available prior to the public hearing scheduled for the October 5, 2011, City Council meeting was approved by a vote of 8-0. 17.
