Council Member Bennett reported various constituent concerns about operational matters. Council Member Bennett said he attended the Dancing with the Characters event. Council Member Bennett extended his condolences to Public Works Director Lewis on the passing of his father. Council Member Johnson reported he attended meetings of the Economic Development Authority and the Agricultural Advisory Committee. Council Member Johnson opined about the observance of Agricultural Month. Council Member Johnson announced he attended the Education Committee meeting. Council Member Johnson reported he attended the Eagle Scout Ceremony for Forrest Ward. Council Member Wright opined about the observance of Agricultural Month and Women’s History Month. Council Member Wright announced she attended the following: a tour of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office and the Sherriff’s Office; a dance at John Yeates Middle School; the Suffolk Police Department’s Awards Ceremony; the Dancing with the Characters event and a Bennett’s Creek Homeowner’s Owners Association meeting. Council Member Rector reported he attended the following: the Suffolk Police Department’s Awards Ceremony; the Suffolk Public Works Department’s Great Suffolk Cleanup; the Downtown Suffolk Advisory Committee; the Education Committee and the Kingsboro Civic League meeting. Council Member Rector extended his condolences to Public Works Director Lewis on the passing of his father. Council Member Williams extended his condolences to Public Works Director Lewis on the passing of his father. Council Member Williams opined about the Whaleyville Borough Town Hall Meeting. Council Member Williams announced he attended the Suffolk Police Department’s Awards Ceremony and the Dancing with the Characters event.
