SUFFOLK LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD Meeting Minutes April 11, 2017 Board Members Present: Others Present: Ms. Barbara Banze Mr. Clint S. Rudy, Director of Libraries Mrs. Nancy Creekmore Mrs. Carolyn Phelps, Exec. Secretary Mr. Lee Cross Mrs. Jennifer S. Brown, Youth & Family Mrs. Ernestine Langston Services Manager Board Members Absent: Mrs. Judith Stone (President) Mr. Sean Bilby (Vice-President) Mrs. Sue Nichols Ms. Sharon Slate  A quorum could not be met for today’s meeting. Therefore, no action could be taken on approval of the October 11, 2016 Suffolk Public Library Board meeting minutes.  Mr. Rudy will obtain information regarding meeting postings and electronic meeting attendance.  Jennifer Brown, Youth and Family Services Manager, gave a presentation on “Ready Rosie”, an online tool (app) that is a partnership with the Early Childhood Development Commission (ECDC) and focuses on providing early literacy videos and tips to parents and educators.  Mr. Rudy noted that Mr. Christopher Wilson from the Health and Human Services Standing Committee, presented at their meeting the Healthy Lifestyle Initiative, part of Virginia’s Plan for Well-Being.  Mr. Rudy distributed the current and new Meeting Room Policy.  The next meeting will be July 11, 2017 at 2PM in the Morgan Memorial Library Meeting Room.  With no further business the meeting was adjourned at 3:15pm.
