Previous approval on September 5th 2017 was granted to the property owner and a different contractor to demolish the existing house and conceptual approval to build a new house with the new house to come back to the board for final approval. The board previously agreed to hold a special meeting for this project given the circumstances of this case. The minutes from the previous meeting are attached for reference. A new contractor has taken over the house build and submitted plans to the board for the construction of a new home on the property. The house now shows a front porch element, vinyl siding in the clay color shown, Pine shake, asphalt shingles in the color Weathered Wood and an elevated slab of 18”. Adjacent property owners were mailed notification letters of the project on February 5th. The Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) expired last year. Extraordinary conditions have occurred with the family including death and sickness and have unfortunately delayed this project. The project scope has been reduced to now just replace the roof with a metal standing seam roof in the color galvalume and complete the porches. The porch additions were started, see attached photos, but were never completed. They are asking to complete this project as there is damage to the roof and would like to seal it up to prevent any leaks.
