Planning Commission held a public hearing at their meeting on February 26, 2018 and made a recommendation for the following proposed ordinance changes to go before Council for second reading as presented. No changes were recommended to the proposed ordinance changes: i. Ordinance to amend Chapter 20, Planning and Development, Article II, Planning Commission, Section 20‐32 entitled Composition. ii. Ordinance to amend Chapter 20, Planning and Development, Article III, Development Standards, Section 20‐72 Bicycle and pedestrian advisory committee, subsection (c) Organization, item (1) entitled Membership. iii. Ordinance to amend Chapter 32, Zoning, Article IV, Historic Preservation, Section 32‐175 Board of architectural review, subsection (b) entitled Membership. iv. Ordinance to amend Chapter 32, Zoning, Article III, Zoning District Regulations, Section 32‐141 Commercial design review board, subsection (c) entitled Membership. v. Ordinance to amend Chapter 32, Zoning, Article V., Special Use Permits, Section 32‐212 entitled Conditional use permits for bed and breakfast establishments. d. Request to annex Dorchester Co. Petition by Greenwave Self Storage, LLC to annex Dorchester County TMS# 144‐00‐00‐019 (approximately 2.37 acres) located at 434 Orangeburg Road, currently zoned CG General Commercial Standing Committees of Council Agenda – March 5, 2018 in Dorchester County and will be zoned B‐3 General Business upon annexation into the Town of Summerville’s municipal limits. (Planning Commission held a public hearing and made a recommendation for approval at their meeting on February 26, 2018) f. Petition by Town of Summerville to annex Dorchester County TMS# 153‐00‐00‐141 (approximately 7.26 acres) located on Ridge Road, currently zoned R‐4, Multi‐Family Residential in Dorchester County and will be zoned PL, Public Land, upon annexation in the Town of Summerville’s municipal limits. (Planning Commission held a public hearing and made a recommendation for approval at their meeting on February 26, 2018) 3. Public Safety Committee: a. Public Comments b. Authorization to issue a purchase order to Vic Bailey Ford (State contract) in the amount of $28,685.00 for a 2018 Ford Police Interceptor SUV as a replacement for the K9 vehicle #P301 that was totaled. In addition, authorize expenditures not to exceed $25,000.00 for costs associated with electronics and outfitting of the vehicle.
